Construction of the Cargill Canola Processing Rail Yard.


The Project

New Track Construction: A&B Rail Services was hired to construct the 7 hectare rail yard and spur lines for the newly developed Cargill Canola Processing Facility in Camrose, Alberta. The scope of this project included the construction of 57,400 track feet of ballasted track, 767 feet of direct fixation, 24 #11 turnouts, 3 bumping posts, and 10 crossings. The rail yard is part of the 129.4 hectare project site and sits North West of the 12 hectare facility, which will provide annual capacity to process 850,000 tonnes of canola.
