
The Project
A&B Rail Services was hired by Metrolinx to construct two 1,500’ steel tie layover tracks, including two new #9 steel tie turnouts, electric switch heaters, locomotive drip trays, rail seal, thermite welding, surfacing and destressing.

- Maintaining existing layover operation
- Procurement and delivery of track material, turnouts and associated wayside equipment
- Installing #9 T/O on the CP Lead track during a scheduled weekend work block
- Thermite welding 115# rails
- Ballasting
- Surfacing

- Installing rubber rail seal
