The Project
A&B Rail was mandated by CSX Transportation to perform a major track rehabilitation program in the fall of 2017.
Deliverables:
- Distribution, replacement, and disposal of 19,000 railway track ties
- Surfacing and lining of twelve (12) miles of track
- Rehabilitation of five (5) public crossings, including diversion of road traffic and coordination with local municipalities and provincial authorities.
- Rehabilitation of six (6) private crossing including coordination with owners of the sites such as Hydro-Québec, Seaway authorities and private quarries.
- Supply & complete thermite welds as required at the crossings.
- Rehabilitation of twenty-five (25) farm crossings including the replacement of timber crossing surfaces, paving of the surface and approaches.
- Minor rail replacement in certain sections of the track
The Result
